Zachary Lerner is a professionally contracted performer on trumpet, cornet, euphonium, shofar, and vocals, as well as is a private instructor.  He has toured with internationally recognized, Grammy Award nominated blues artist Hamilton Loomis, as well as with the Liberated Wailing Wall band as vocalist and brass player.  Zachary got his start in the 101st Airborne Division Band, where he reached the rank of Sergeant (E-5) in the USArmy.  Major contracting work for AFM Local 65-699 contractors include Daniel Shipman (Ambient Arts Entertainment), Jeffery Lerner, Darryl Bayer (Texas Brass) Marshall Maxwell, Robert Linder, and others.  He has participated in recording sessions for various ensembles and had consistent work for Stages Repertory Theatre, often as a solo wind player, The Texas Renaissance Festival as Fanfare trumpeter, and had regular performances with The Ziggy Band, Buzz and the Blue Cats, the Kosher Klezmers, and others. Private trumpet students have gone on to major in music at colleges such as the University of Texas, the Interlochen School for the Arts, and the Juilliard School of Music.
